The track to the Mueller Hut is a 10.4 km hike with an elevation gain of 1000m.
I've been wanting to do this one for a very long time, and it definitely didn't disappoint! An incredible track which climbs steeply up from the campsite next to Mount Sefton, passing Sealy Tarns on the way. I had a booking to stay overnight, but after spending a couple of hours in and around the hut for lunch, I decided to head back down again to see the views of Mount Cook in the late afternoon sun. As always I met some interesting and inspiring people along the way, and I can't wait to do this one again

Me at Sealy Tarns in the evening light. Taken by a girl on her way up to the hut. She returned by moonlight after also climbing Mt Olivier while she was up there!
